Leif Vollebeck

A visit to his Plateau apartment reveals an endless collection of records from Bob Dylan to Ray Charles. An avid fan of vinyl, Leif Vollebekk’s debut album “Inland” was re-released on 12” (and CD/digital) by Nevado Records (Bahamas, Yukon Blonde) in January 2010, garnering rave reviews and critical acclaim both in Canada and internationally.

Leif is currently touring “Inland”, with upcoming shows in Canada, UK, Ireland and several other parts of Europe dates TBA shortly, his album will be heard around the world before the summer of 2010. In between tours, he is also working on a second album with famed producer Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Godspeed…) at Hotel2Tango in Montreal.

She released two albums under the name CastlemusicLive at the Music Gallery in 2006 and You Can't Take Anyone in 2008, on Toronto imprint BlueFog Records before signing to Flemish Eye for her third album, which she released under her own name but titled Castlemusic.[3] The record has been re-released on No Quarter Records in New York.
She has appeared on records by Wyrd Visions, Eric Chenaux, Ryan Driver, Bry Webb, Doug PaisleyConstantines and Fucked Up. In 2011, she also participated in the National Parks Project, collaborating with musicians Sebastien Grainger and Dan Werb, and filmmaker Catherine Martin, to produce and score a short documentary film about Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve in Quebec. She has worked alongside visual artists Davida Nemeroff, Victoria Cheong, Aimee Dawn Robinson, Barb Lindenberg and Yuula Benivolski. She also plays in the band called Deloro, based in Toronto.
